My Priorities

Public safety is a core service of municipal government. We must continue to support our excellent police and fire departments whose members place a priority on using best practices. This includes equipment, training and competitive pay. We must also recognize Medical Rescue Team South and Outreach Teen and Family services for their contributions to residents’ physical and mental well-being. 

In the best communities, residents participate at every level of the governing process. Anne will continue to foster open discussions on relevant issues and invite residents to participate on our community’s many boards and authorities. Anne is a big believer in using public funds judiciously to achieve community goals.

Sidewalks, walking paths, and bicycle lanes are part of improving Mt. Lebanon’s mobility. As the mother of a child with physical disabilities, Anne champions accessible bathrooms and buildings, as well as curb cuts. During the 2022 budget season, Anne championed an architectural study of the Rec Center to improve its ease of access. That study will take place in 2023.

Whether it is a First Friday event or a Pumpkin Patch Parade, Uptown Mt. Lebanon is a community gathering spot. Unlike a faceless mall, Uptown is a reminder of times when commercial districts reinforced community identity. Beverly Road and Castle Shannon Boulevard are strong neighborhood business districts that provide local commercial services, restaurants and professional offices. Continuing to support these commercial areas reinforces the historic nature of our community while providing our residents with local services and entertainment.
